ESTONIAN LANGUAGE FOR HEALTHCARE PROFESSIONALS (BASIC COURSE)<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Citizens of Ukraine, who are not working and have applied for temporary protection from Estonia, can participate free of charge on the basis of an application. The price of the training for others is 105 euros. The number of participants is limited.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The aim of the training is to provide basic knowledge of the Estonian language to healthcare workers.

Curriculum group: ISCED 0231
Teaching methods: practical tasks (including watching and discussing videos, reading articles), role-playing games, work in pairs and groups.

Introduction into Estonian language (different topics: lexica and grammar) (30 hours)

The trained participant:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

is able to communicate with the patient on the topic of health at an elementary level;
understands what the patient is complaining about if the he speaks slowly (within topics studied in the course) and is able to describe the patient’s health status to his relatives;
can read and understand simple Estonian texts;
able to use learned vocabulary and grammar in everyday situations (health care).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Requirements for completion of studies, including assessment methods and criteria:<\/strong>
Participation in training should be at least 80%. The training ends with a test. The student has mastered vocabulary and grammar. The test is done if it has at least 65% correct answers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
